"I hate being the dumb girl", I said to my friend who is a physician. "You know, every work place has one at some time, someone who just doesn't get it....I'm that girl." My friend very kindly and quickly replied, "Oh, no Juli, that person never knows who she is. As long as you are aware, you are not the dumb girl!"  So, I went back to work on Monday and just kept on. This was the story of my career 3 years ago.  I have come a long way since then (and still have much to go.)

I don't know what my colleagues were really thinking back then but they were kind and helpful - most of the time! :-) Over the past several years, the people I work with have become some of my dearest friends. We have shared struggles with family crisis and illness, as well as work place ups and downs. We have great conversations, tackled many issues, solved world problems and exposed some as well.  I have learned so much! My faith has been strengthened as I see God at work in the lives of these beautiful people. Shalom.
